DWTS corsets wholesale Season 24 Week 2 Costume Critique Normani and Val danced a rousing Cha Cha with layers and layers of rayon fringe on Normani's bright yellow costume. I LOVED how the fringe was attached in a non-straight line – you can see it in the photo. Her matching yellow cut-out and criss-crossing bodice was banded with white for emphasis, all with thousands of rhinestones and real straps. Val's black satin jacket featured narrow yellow banding, giving it a sporty look with a back waistline tab thrown in for extra fun. All the costumes were above par this week, but this couple's costumes were my favorite.
This week on ‘Dancing with the Stars' wholesale halloween costumes the festivities started out immediately with Nancy Artem dancing the Cha Cha in simple, yet classic costumes. Nancy's pink rhinestoned and beaded fringe costume with angled hemline and ‘V' accented neckline with real straps was beautiful and flattering. Artem coordinated with a black sequin jacket with pink and black ribbed waistband and collar with a matching pink front facing along the front zipper closure, worn with regular black trousers. This attractive pair of costumes could compliment dancers of any age and most body shapes.
Erika and Gleb wholesale christmas costumes then accessorized with a gray sports car (I forgot to ask my husband what make/style it was!), with Gleb in a Velcro-closed (an opened) ‘regulation' police shirt and pant uniform. Erica looked incredibly sexy and CLASSY (unlike last week) in a sheer black mesh costume with lots of black beaded/rhinestoned appliques adorning the high collared and long-sleeved garment. Did you notice the nude elastic straps that added extra security to her bosom (barely noticeable under the sheer black mesh upper bodice)? That is exactly what nude elastic straps should be used for: costume security! I really loved Erika's costume this week!
Charo and Keo presented a Paso Doble, with red THE color. I love that Charo isn't being overwhelmed with too much fabric, even though she is diminutive – maybe because she has such a large stage presence? Fluffy red organza ruffles served as the ‘cape' in this performance as well as adornments for her arms. Her glitzy red bodice featured her expansive cleavage (done tastefully) with real straps. Keo's matador costume featured black lace in all the appropriate places on his bolero jacket and high-rise trousers. Definitely a ‘costumey' costume, but done well. No, this would not be the perfect costume for every guy!
Nick and Peta danced an elegant Fox Trot with Peta in a teal gown that could be used as a social dance dress and Nick wore a debonair suit in a deeper shade of teal (or was it black?) with matching teal satin shawl collar and pocket square. Of course his sleeves were cut with additional fabric under the arms, in order to accommodate ballroom arm movements. They made a very handsome couple, again in flattering costumes that most age groups could wear.
Heather danced the Jive without Maks, but with Minnesota's own, Alan. ‘Go Alan!' I loved her minimally styled, tailored two-piece costume that included a cap-sleeved crop top and A-line skirt, cut to her natural waistline. With rows and rows of matching Royal blue beaded fringe, of course! Alan wore a basic black costume with a matching Royal blue necktie, a great choice for any competing ballroom guy.
Bonner and Sharna (are they ‘a thing'?) danced a Viennese Waltz with Bonner wearing a simple tucked, tuxedo shirt worn with suspenders and trousers. Again, a good costume choice for most ballroom competitors, albeit not real exciting. On my television screen, it looked pastel pink or peach – matching Sharna's dress color, in any case. Sharna wore a very feminine dress with a lovely lace bodice with cap sleeves and rhinestoned detailing. As the current fashion, she wore a narrow bejeweled belt at her natural waistline. I am enjoying the natural waistline again. Simone and Sasha sashayed across the stage, performing their Cha Cha in a costume SO MUCH BETTER than last week's - thank goodness (and the costume department)! Her glittery, golden two-piece costume featured fringe and a crystal rhinestoned necklace accessory with light blue gems as a contrasting color. The beaded fringe gave a ‘V' shape to her short skirt and also accenting her top with a matching ‘V' design. Sasha wore a golden, sequin/lame jacket with black lapels and black trousers. A classy costumed couple, this week.
Chris and Whitney performed a Jazz routine with both performers in sunburst pleated golden tissue lame skirts. Thankfully, Chris' skirt was whisked off to reveal a dapper ‘newsboy' costume with tweedy-looking double-breasted vest, trousers (tucked into boots), shirt, cap, scarf and ascot. I loved his look and will miss him next week. Witney wore a golden Marilyn Monroe-esque dress with rhinestoned accents. They made a darling couple!
Rashad and Emma danced the Viennese Waltz with Rashad in a bland costume, featuring an open bow-tie and white tucked, tuxedo shirt and basic gray trousers. Emma wore a sheer, gray double-georgette long paneled skirt with deep slits, set slightly to the front to best showcase her legs. Her bodice had a more unique design to it – not the ‘norm'. It was youthful and even though it included nude elastics, it was very pretty.
Mr. T and Kym performed a boxing match Paso Doble with both dancers starting out with the requisite red satin robe with black trim and black satin robe with red trim. When Mr. T shed his robe, he wore a sleeveless black shirt sporting many black rhinestones, his large golden belt buckle and trousers with wide, gold side stripes. Kym's cape-skirt coordinatedwith 2 large gold stripes near the hemline. I loved her top and I think we may incorporate the double strapped design in a future Pro-Cheer custom designed, Satin Stitches bra top! I noticed and appreciated the pattern of the red and gold rhinestones located where wide elastic would be on a boxer's costume. It was a nice touch!
David and Lindsay closed out this week's competition with a 90's Cha Cha. An iconic 90's print was used on both costumes – with lots of rhinestones, of course. Their costumes fit their routine but were nothing special. Of course Lindsay was cute in her little two-piece costume with short print jacket, and David managed to not embarrass himself (with his costuming or his dancing)!
We know that this is reality TV, and the audience voting is what eliminates contestants. We just need to remember this, as we move forward next week.
